Lesson K.1

 

Warm-Up K.1:  

      "Code switching" is where you act, speak, and/or dress differently around different groups of people.  Write a constructed response about the last time you were code switching and why.

 

Classwork K.1:

     Finish working on Brochure Presentations.

 

Homework K.1:

     Write a constructed Response on whether you believe we should have conventional grades (A, B, C, D, & F) or if we should switch to the "Free School" model, where students build portfolios.

Lesson K.4

 

Warm-Up K.4:  

    Draw the outline of a football sideways.  Draw an equilateral triangle, with one point down in the center; make sure it is about 1/5 of your outline size. Draw two similar triangles on top of the football shape, with one point on each going up.  Draw a crescent below the middle triangle, still inside the outline.  Draw three lines coming from each side of the center triangle, making six in total.  Meow.

 

Classwork K.4:

     Finish "The Farm" or start "Jabberwocky."

 

Homework K.4:

     Write a haiku about your favorite place.
