Week 1:  School Procedures

Week 2:  Segments

• Students have learned what a segment is, and what they will be expected to produce this semester.
• Students brainstorm and collaborate on what would be effective segments
• Segment Approval Form.pdf  to be filled out by every student

Week 3:  How to: INTERVIEW 

• Students create the Master List of Interview Questions.pdf
• Watch interview videos produced by students
• Discuss interviewing environment:
• Smooth surfaces (tile, stone, etc.) bounce sound
• Interview in carpeted areas
• Use fabric to absorb sound (curtains, blankets, etc.) 
• If you frown during your interview, people notice
• Have questions ready
• Interviews outside are difficult to hear 

Week 4:  How to: iMovie

• Students receive iMovie on their iPads
• We examine and prepare studio
• Students explore iMovie
• Call and schedule interviews

Week 5:  Segments

• Students shoot segments
• Edit segments with iMovie
• String segments together
• Produce first episodes of broadcast

Week 6:  Individual work

• Students begin to put together their own segments, each student responsible for contributing every week
• Segments strung together to make more episodes
